Mark you calendars now and RSVP for the Gifu AJET "Bounenkai & JLPT Otsukaresama Super Happy Fun Party" Saturday Dec. 8th!
The bounenkai (year-end party) is a Japanese cultural mainstay. Friends, family, and colleagues gather to welcome the new year afresh, and to celebrate the passing of the previous year. It's the perfect time to say otsukaresamadeshita to your friends before the holidays, catch up with old friends you haven't seen in a while, and to make new friends for the coming winter months. As the meritorious Matsunami-san says, we do this, "with lots of FOOD, DRINK, and SMILE!" This is also a congratulations party for those who took the JLPT. Come reward yourself to some relaxation, and maybe put some of the ol' Nihongo into practice.
We want this party to be a big one! We can have up to 80 people! Not only do we hope all you JETs can come, but we'd love love for any former JETs, Japanese, and non-JETs to join us. This party is a great chance to meet new friends; Matsunami will be inviting many Japanese again. As with every AJET event, anyone and everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, spread the word, and RSVP early.

WHERE: Izakaya Nohohon (next to Bier Hall)We booked the 3rd floor which can accomodate up to 80 people.(From the 2nd floor of JR station, walk across the bridge. Take the stairs down beside the konbini. Turn right. After 100m you will cross a traffic road. The Gifu World Festival is Sunday Dec 9th from 11:30 to 4:00.
Many of us will be preparing and setting up on Saturday in Ogaki before going to the bounenkai. We would love for you to join us! A pair of willing hands is all you need. And we would love your help whether you are going to the enkai later or not. We will meet at the bottom of the steps of Ogaki station from 4:30 and walk to Ogaki castle hall from 4:50 (feel free to meet us there). After helping setup chairs, tables, and such, we will all ride the train to Gifu together to the enkai. And of course we want

If something comes up after Wed, please find someone to replace you. If you do not find a replacement and are a no show/last minute cancellation/missed your train/whatever, you will still have to pay in full.***
