５月２４日（土）の岐阜自転車ツアーがまだ募集中ですが、
６月のイベントについてもお知らせします！
６月は例年通り、１，３００年の歴史があり、岐阜が誇る伝統文化、「鵜飼」です！
説明は日本文化通、Doug君です！ 最近彼は大活躍しています！
そんな岐阜が世界に誇るクールな伝統文化を、この機会に、
海外の人たちと一緒に、体験してみましょう！
毎回かなり人気なので、申し込みはお早めに！ それでは詳細です！
（１）日時 ６月２１日（土） １７：３０～２１：３０
※集合場所と時間は、正式に決まり次第、追って連絡します！
（JR岐阜駅１階パン屋前に４時半あたりになると思います！）
※長良橋南側の鵜飼事務所に直接来ていただいても、結構です！

cormorant fishing trip, 21st June, Sat
Hey, everybody!
It's time for Gifu AJET's annual cormorant fishing trip. Like in years past, we'll be renting a large boat and providing English explanantions of the event. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
Cormorant fishing on the Nagara River is a 1,300-year-old tradition where fishing masters use Japanese Cormorants to catch fish, primarily ayu (sweetfish). We'll be renting a boat and taking it out on the river.Before cormorant fishing starts, we can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner, drinking beer and shooting off fireworks. Once the sun sets, cormorant fishing will begin and we'll be able to get an up-close look at the age-old tradition.

Cost: 3,300yen per person (food/drinks are not included)

5月のＡＪＥＴイベントは、自転車ツアーです！
岐阜市の国際交流員でもあるダグ君が、市内の文化・歴史で有名な場所を紹介します！
（彼は日本語うまいです！ そして日本文化に詳しいです！）
意外とマーナーなポイントにいくようです！
岐阜は鵜飼、岐阜城と花火だけではありませんよ～！笑
今回は、主に寺や神社を攻めていきます！

cultural/historical bike tour of Gifu City, May 24th
It's that time of year again! AJET is sponsoring a cultural/historical bike tour of Gifu City. This tour will take you to some of the lesser known sites in the city, giving you the opportunity to discover that there is more to the area than cormorant fishing, Gifu Castle and fireworks.
This year's tour will focus on shrines and temples in the area. Sure, alot of them seem exactly the same, but it starts to get interesting when you realize that some shrines sleep around, some temples were stolen, and they all have little secrets.
What: Gifu City Bike Tour
When: 12:00pm~2:00pm, May 24, 2008 (Saturday)
Where: Meet at Vie de France (JR Gifu Station)
Cost: FREE* (temples and shrines are free to enter)
*If you need to rent a bike, it will cost 100yen for the day. You can rent bikes at JR Gifu Station, though, so don't hesitate to participate.
Also, space is not limited, but I would like to have an idea of how many people will be coming. So, if you're interested, just send me an e-mail to gifu_ajet@yahoo.com. Thanks!
